Company Dyson, which is a manufacturer of vacuum cleaners and expensive fans, has invested $ 15 million in research to increase the battery life. Investments were directed to the company Sakti3. The latter has already developed a new version of the battery, which can last two times longer than conventional batteries.
Solely by monetary injections did not stop. The two companies also signed a joint development agreement, which will help in the future to obtain from the above technology real benefit. Investments by the company Dyson automatically mean that there will be longer-lasting batteries, primarily in applications of the company - for example, a robotic vacuum cleaners.
Anna Maria Sestri, founder and CEO of Sakti3, said that the prisoner agreement with Dyson will allow the company to withdraw the developed technology to the mass market.
Other device manufacturers who try to prolong the battery life, but real progress in this direction was observed already since 1991, when Sony introduced the lithium-ion batteries. But indicators such as battery charging and its capacity, is steadily increasing.
